education, Training & Qualifications

 

Emily attended Bradford Grammar School in Yorkshire from 2005 to 2012. She went on to study Education with Drama and English at the University of Cambridge, graduating in 2015 with a BA Hons. Her educational specialism was in psychology and sociology. 

After graduating, she joined the Old Vic, New Voices FINDING YOUR VOICE scheme run by A C Smith in 2016.

She has a full DBS check, valid from August 2022. She is also proficient in basic spoken and written Spanish.

work in education

After graduating from university, Emily worked as a private tutor from November 2015 to January 2019. She also runs drama clubs and workshops in schools across London.

 

Since May 2022, Emily has worked with the arts charity, Tender, as a workshop leader. She facilitates sessions about healthy relationships and domestic abuse with young people aged 9 to 25. In July 2023, she joined the Drama Educator team at Bigfoot Arts Education and since September 2023, she has been working as the director on DreamArts' Experiment programme, devising two new shows with young people in West London. She is currently co-facilitating DreamArts' and City Lions' Project 8 - focusing on using arts to explore well-being and future goals with young people with SEND.
